Using the TV

We have two ways of watching the TV.  The set itself is tuned to the Italian system. The satellite box links to the UK satellite Astra 28.2E. 

Access the Italian channels and TV controls with the Samsung remote control. 

To switch to satellite, press Source (top right) and select HDMI2. For a list of channels press EDV on the satellite remote (pictured above). When you have selected, press Exit. To toggle between satellite TV and radio, press the button in the bottom left corner. Select your radio station as above .

Il campanello - the little doorbell

This is the original brass doorbell that we named the house after - it's the very last one left in the village. Just a tiny touch of the old days that lends a special character to the house.  We have recently had the entrance renovated, but have kept the old door and the bell as a reminder that the house is actually over 300 years old.  Thankfully, there shouldn't be too much else that does that!

And here it is polished up.
